A collaboration between Dog Section Press, Black Lodge Press, and some of our Supersonic Artists marries together radical street propaganda and powerful lyricism.
Slogans from Algiers, Ashenspire, Ragana, and Taqbir, all performing at this year’s Supersonic festival, are to be transformed into provocative posters that will be available to purchase in the Market Place, and seen fly-posted around the festival.
The collaboration encapsulates the synergy between radical politics, culture, art, and music, fostering conversations and inspiring change. It echoes the essence of activism – employing diverse strategies to envision a more inclusive and equitable future.Black Lodge Press, founded by CJ, embodies queer anti-fascist ideals and urgent, direct action. The press’s output reflects the necessity of conveying messages succinctly, driven by the urgency of confronting fascism and racism. CJ’s belief in agitating for conversation and revolutionary culture is evident in their work.Dog Section Press, an anti-profit worker-owned cooperative, publishes and distributes seditious literature and prints posters in the radical street-art tradition.
