This vocal workshop will focus on connection with breath, body, natural vocal frequencies and shared deep listening spaces.

Together we will prepare a short piece to be performed during the Do.omYoga + NYX Sound Ceremony on Sunday at 11:40am -12:40pm. Please only sign up if you’re able to make both the workshop & the sound ceremony on Sunday. This is a space that welcomes all levels of vocal exploring experience. The session will be limited to a small group of 12 participants to keep an intimate energy.

Return to the source of creation SOUND. The only place that you ARE.

NYX is a collaborative drone choir and otherworldly electric chorus, re-embodying live electronics and extended vocal techniques. They look to reshape the role of the traditional female choir, testing the limits of organic and synthetic modulation to explore the entire spectrum of collective voice as an instrument. Having collaborated with Gazelle Twin on album ‘Deep England’, NYX has quickly established itself as a popular music-led interdisciplinary experience. http://www.nyx-edc.com/
