Shovel Dance Collective are a group of nine musicians exploring the folk traditions of England, Scotland, Ireland and beyond.
Take part in a collaborative ballad-writing workshop where attendees will be invited to help write verses and learn to perform a new original folk song ‘The Ballad of Digbeth’, folk-lorising the history of the area and Supersonic Festival. Audiences will then be invited to sing this new ballad at Shovel Dance Collective’s own performance on the Sunday.

We have a selection of fabulous workshops on offer as part of our 2023 programme! Places are limited, so sign up here to secure your place, and please do let us know if you’re no longer able to attend.

Please note, entry to these workshops is included in the Supersonic Festival ticket – a festival ticket for the relevant day (or the full weekend) is required!
