Supersonic Festival is honoured to collaborate with Rage Sacrée for a special night aboard the extraordinary Petit Bain, a floating venue in Paris, bringing together five singular artists whose music moves between folk tradition, drone, psychedelia, experimental sound and ritualistic intensity. From the hypnotic churn of the hurdy-gurdy to Kurdish bouzouki, industrial textures, immersive electronics and expansive drones, this is a night built around music that feels ancient and futuristic at once.
FRANCE
Formed in 2005, the French trio France create an immersive blend of psychedelic, drone and folk music centred around the hypnotic sound of the hurdy-gurdy. Drawing on traditional and experimental influences, their music unfolds through sustained tones, ritualistic repetition and rich, atmospheric textures, where ancient folk traditions meet the expansive possibilities of psychedelia and drone.

KATIE KIM
Mood is at the heart of Katie Kim’s expansive musical world: darkened corners, icy atmospheres and hypnotic, knife-edge soundscapes. Piano chords stretch towards infinity as cinematic scale meets tectonic intensity, a slowcore waltz at the bottom of the ocean, steeped in gloom, tension and euphoric darkness.
Katie is also a member of ØXN. For this special performance, she will be joined by percussionist Eleanor Myler and acclaimed producer, multi-instrumentalist and collaborator John Spud Murphy.

MOHAMMAD SYFKHAN
Kurdish/Syrian singer and bouzouki player Mohammad Syfkhan has been making music since 1980, when he began performing while studying nursing in Syria. After graduating, he moved to Raqqa and formed the Al-Rabie Band, becoming a sought-after performer at concerts, weddings and festivals across Syria, with a repertoire spanning Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish and Western music alongside his own compositions.
Following the outbreak of war in 2011 and the devastating loss of his son to ISIS, Mohammad and his family were forced to leave Syria and seek safety in Europe. Settling in Ireland, he rebuilt his musical life, becoming an integral part of Kurdish and Syrian communities.
His music is ecstatic, generous and deeply rooted in connection, drawing on Middle Eastern and North African traditions to create a sound made for both intimate gatherings and huge dancefloors.

NUÈIT
Based in Brittany, Nuèit reimagines traditional Occitan songs through a dark, experimental soundscape of industrial samples and droning textures. For over a decade, she has explored this repertoire through voice and violin, including with the group Säkkriñ.
With Nuèit, she brings together her organic Occitan roots and the industrial landscape of her adopted north, forging a hypnotic dialogue between tradition and experimentation.

DAWN TERRY
Newcastle-based musician and composer Dawn Terry explores the transformative power of sustained sound, drone and improvisation. A founding member of influential drone-metal band Bong and current member of Bong II, she has spent over 25 years moving between heavy music, minimalism and experimental performance.
Her solo work centres on accordion, voice and live looping, creating immersive, evolving soundscapes where sustained tones, layered textures and acoustic resonance unfold with patience and intensity. Drawing on drone, black metal and free improvisation, her performances are both meditative and emotionally expansive.

NYAHH RECORDS DJ SET
The night will close with a DJ set from Willie Stewart, founder of Nyahh Records, Willie Stewart mixes an eclectic mix of experimental, global sounds and dance floor bangers to make any room (or boat) bounce with joy!
