Nadja is a duo of multi-instrumentalist Aidan Baker and bassist Leah Buckareff. Active since 2005 they have been making music described as ambient doom, dreamsludge, or metalgaze. Their signature sound combines the atmospheric textures of shoegaze and ambient/electronic music with the heaviness, density, and volume of metal, noise, and industrial.
Their colossal drums paired with aggregated synthesizers, processors and guitar, all stack into a perfect beast. Their sound is meant to wreck you, and it probably will. Originally from Toronto, Canada, the duo now resides in Berlin, Germany and have toured extensively around the world, including performances at SXSW, Roadburn, Le Guess Who, and Unsound.
