Supersonic Kids Gigs are designed for families as a way of introducing children to experimental music – BIG sounds for little people! This show takes place as a Live Stream on Zoom, so you can join us for the usual Kids Gig fun from the comfort of home.

Join Noon Garden, the new solo project from Charles Prest (Flamingods), on a psychedelic voyage of synth-pop for our first Kids Gig of the year! We’re planning to blow away the cobwebs of dreary winter days and beam some joyful tropical sunshine into your homes – come join us…

Noon Garden is an exotic psych-pop odyssey. He crafts other worldly sounds and conjures up a distant land where you’ll find yourself dancing wildly to a mix of Disco, Funk & Psychedelic grooves. As a founder member of the exotic-psych and critically acclaimed four-piece Flamingods, we know we’re in for a real treat… expect sludgy bass and infectious drum rhythms that will get feet tapping. Charles will be showcasing his cycling guitar talents, vocal techniques and cathartic synth chords, all inspired by 80s synth-pop classics. This is an artist truly having fun and pushing sonic boundaries with confidence and flair.

British born with Nigerian & Jamaican heritage, Prest spent his childhood living in Bahrain surrounded by people, like himself, who were all living on an island away from their homeland. Seeing the world from a young age and the experience of 10 years of globe-trotting touring with Flamingods are imprinted on his new project and have been a huge influence on shaping Noon Garden’s tropical adventurism. As a talented multi-instrumentalist, Charles has written, self-produced and will be playing all the parts himself!

And to top it off… we are delighted that our first Kids Gig of 2021 will be hosted once more by everyone’s favourite alt-rocker and pyscho-storyteller, Anna Palmer from Dorcha. Grab a copy of her Supersonic Kids album here.

So get your ticket and join Charles & Anna for a virtual boogie and another healthy dose experimental disco fun. There’s limited capacity, so book early to avoid disappointment. Some tropical/summer fancy dress is optional but always encouraged!

Recommended for children under 10.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
