Calliope is a folk-informed collective formed by Femi Oriogun-Williams and Island Girl, rooted in storytelling, sonic exploration, and ancestral memory. Drawing on a wide range of instruments, voices, and textures, they craft immersive performances that explore diasporic futures and lost pasts as acts of cultural reclamation.
Their work moves between the intimate and the expansive — blending traditional folk sensibilities with experimental approaches to sound and narrative. Calliope’s performances are as much rituals as they are concerts, inviting audiences into a space of enchantment
