Supersonic Festival are delighted to welcome the brilliant Beak> this December. This will be one of Geoff Barrows last UK shows before departing the band after 16 years. We have no doubt this is going to be a really special gig.

Featuring members of Portishead and Moon Gangs, they made their debut in 2009. Known for their unique blend of krautrock and electronic sounds, Beak> delivers an unforgettable live experience filled with motorik rhythms, hypnotic bass lines, and a powerful sonic atmosphere.

Sometimes a band can be no more than the sum of it’s parts, but Beak> are an equation in which it’s impossible to define equivalents or totals. Instead the meeting of three talent’s form a foundation from which idea’s assimilate and propagate. A new Beak> album might not come around often, but when it does, it always seems to capture a specific moment in time, a new set of elegies for the present moment. With the surprise announcement and release of >>>>, Beak> deliver another taste of a different moment, suspended in stasis and simultaneously rushing towards the vanishing point on the horizon.

L.A. native Litronix is a music machine inventing irresistible futuristic pop songs. He infuses warm analog electronic synthesizers, organic guitars, multi-layered loops, and boxed beats.

“Beak> is a band that exists in those often crossed but never lingered in lines between both genre and time. Their use of vintage sounds but their forward thinking compositions make them sound like the future and the past at the same time.

Birmingham’s Rosie Tee is a composer & performer that conjures technicolour narratives from electronics, jazz, psych & avant-pop.
Finding joy in the experimental corners of songwriting, Tee will present her duo set, crafted in collaboration with musician Piera Onacko (un.procedure), layering synthesizers with manipulated vocals, pedals and percussion. Colourful, folkloric lyrics float above hypnotic electronic sound worlds, laced with intricate orchestrations that result in “glorious colours & textures” (The Quietus) and “jazz-licked psyche-noise abstraction” (The Arts Desk).
