BURSARY & GRANTS

 

PRS EARLY CAREER PROMOTER FUND

Deadline: 29 October 2026

Early Career Promoter Fund recognises the vital role independent promoters play in supporting the talent pipeline across England, and offers grant funding and capacity building support, with the aim of bolstering the local, regional and national ecosystems.
Grants of up to £3,500 will be available to support a range of activity, including:
  • The booking, programming and promotion of gigs, concerts, club nights, showcases, tours and other performances
  • Costs associated with those activities (including venue hire, production, artist and/or DJ fees, crew fees, administration and other related costs)
  • Capacity building (including mentoring, coaching, shadowing, workshops, masterclasses, and other skill building and networking opportunities)
  • Other expenditure which helps grantees to programme a diverse range of artists, develop new audiences and build their skills

ARTS COUNCIL: MUSIC GROWTH FUND

Deadline: Current round: 15 October 2026 / Next round: 26 November 2026

The Music Growth Fund (MGF) (£1,000-£40,000 and £40,001-£100,000) is a new investment programme designed to support growth across new music.

It is open to music festivals, music managers, music promoters, music publishers, record labels, recording studios, rehearsal spaces and grassroots music venues as well as the sector bodies and other sector support organisations that support them.

Arts Council define new music as original music (i.e. live performance, sound recording or musical work) recently or newly created or performed by living, UK-based artists or music creators.

 

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT

 

PPL Momentum Music Fund

Deadline: 26 October 2026

The PPL Momentum Music Fund offers grants of £5k-£15k for UK based artists/bands to break through to the next level of their careers. 

This is for Artists/Bands who are showing current progression and growth as an artist with the potential to significantly develop their careers over the next two years.

Funding can be used for –

  • Recording – new album, EP, single, producer, engineer, mixer fees, studio hire, session musician fees, etc. or a combination of these elements.
  • Touring (UK only*) – travel, accommodation, musician fees, set/production design, tour management, equipment hire, etc.
  • Marketing and promotions – PR, radio plugger, digital marketing, music videos, merchandise production, etc.
  • Purchase of equipment / software / hardware (covers up to 20% of costs)

 

ARTS COUNCIL: THE MUSIC CREATORS GROWTH FUND

Deadline: Current Round 29 October 2026 / Next round: 3 February 2027

The Music Creators Growth Fund (£10,000-£20,000) will provide direct support for artists, bands, producers and artist collectives through grants designed to help develop and sustain creative practice.

The Fund will provide direct access to investment for music creators with a sustained track record of professional creative practice, enabling them to:

  • strengthen their skills, capacity, and resilience
  • develop sustainable careers
  • create and share high-quality work
  • innovate and diversify income
  • build professional opportunities.

 

IN MOTION

Deadline: 2 November 2026

In Motion is our transformational 18-month artist development programme for original creators who are committed to challenging and evolving their practice and are ready to invest time, attention and energy in where it could go next. 

In Motion supports up to 10 creators – each creator will receive:

  • an artist bursary of £1,800
  • a production grant of up to £4,000 to support artistic or project development
  • regular one-to-one support from a dedicated Creative Programme Leader
  • sessions with an accredited coach
  • a budget for mentoring
  • group sharing, workshops and two-day Networking Days with the wider cohort.
