Supersonic Festival 2027 – Save The Date!
OK folks, here’s the news.
In 2027, Supersonic will once again be a limited-edition festival: two days, with a more intimate capacity, staged at The Crossing, with a wider programme unfolding across Digbeth on the 24-25 April.
Not because we want to do less. Quite the opposite. We want to protect what makes Supersonic special: the extraordinary artists, the unexpected moments, the surprises and, most of all, you, the community that comes together and makes the festival what it is.
We’re not interested in getting bigger just for the sake of it. We firmly believe that investing in artists and the festival itself is more important than pouring money into advertising and the big platforms that increasingly control how we reach people.
And, judging by your feedback, our 2026 limited-edition festival was a real hit. Thanks to your incredible support, we sold out in hours.
We can’t overstate how much buying your ticket early helps. Quite simply, it gives us the confidence to make the festival happen.
So, we need you again.
Help us keep taking risks. Keep championing artists and ideas that matter. And keep creating a space where everyone feels welcome and safe.
The world feels pretty scary and chaotic right now. And things remain tough for independent festivals, too. We’ve spoken about this before: costs continue to rise, while the spaces and infrastructure that make independent culture possible are increasingly under threat. Finding the right places to do what we do in Birmingham remains one of our biggest challenges.
And there’s another reason we’re keeping 2027 focused. 2028 will be Supersonic’s 25th anniversary. Twenty-five years. Jeez. That’s pretty mind-blowing! It feels like a moment worth celebrating properly, and we want to give ourselves the time and space to dream about what that could look like. We’ve already got some big ideas and we can’t wait to start making them happen.
