Steve Von Till + Haress

Supersonic Festival are delighted to welcome Steve Von Till (of Neurosis) to Birmingham for a special concert with full band at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, supported by Haress.

Tickets are available now for this August 5th show at our website. Steve Von Till shall be bringing his lush ambient performance of No Wilderness Deep Enough and previous work to the UK for the first time. Set in the stunning acoustics of a world-class Recital Hall, this extra special seated show will be an intimate, limited capacity affair.

A swirling and iridescent blend of ambient, neo-classical, gothic Americana and rural psychedelia, this music is his deep exploration into previously uncharted territory. Steve will also weave a few old tracks as well as spoken word readings from his first book 23 Untitled Poems and Collected Lyrics into extended instrumental passages by his ensemble of musicians.

His band for this tour consists of Dave French (of YOB and Brothers of the Sonic Cloth) on synths, guitars and percussion, Braden Diotte (touring member of Faust, EXO//ENDO, Pinback and Tarantula Hawk) on organ and modular synths, and PJ Van Assche (who performs on his own as Innerwoud) on double bass handling the string parts. Steve will also be performing on the piano, electric, and acoustic guitars.

Von Till has achieved a sense of mass resonance through his restless artistic exploration—providing art that journeys into the heart of fear and uncertainty in a world where we’ve often known little else.
