We Will Rise Again – but until then…
Cancelling this year’s festival was a heart breaking but necessary decision, given the current circumstances. However, we think it is important, despite the year’s unprecedented events, to mark what should have been this year’s Supersonic Festival 2020 weekend in some way. We want to honour our dedicated team of staff and volunteers (without whom none of the magic would take place), to make a space for our loyal audiences to re-connect (albeit digitally), and to celebrate artists from our incredible line-up that couldn’t be.
Proceedings will be taking place on our YouTube channel, so we recommend you subscribe in advance.
What to expect?
Lovingly crafted, in the Capsule way, imagine a kind of real life zine, featuring some of your Festival favourites; expect unique and exclusive performances, panel talks, DJ sets and more oddities from a plethora of Supersonic artists and its wider community.
For families, the first event announced is a new Kids Gig (Live Stream) with one-man-band extravaganza ICHI. Sit tight grown ups – we’ll be announcing more of the (on)line-up soon!

Also, this will be your last opportunity to purchase our special ‘We Will Rise Again’ merchandise. We will close pre-orders at midnight on Friday 24 July. A further 25% of all merchandise sales will also be donated to The Trussell Trust, Birmingham.
