Happy new year all, Some of you may remember our blog post calling for suggestions to be made for Supersonic 2010, well now is your chance to let us know who you’d like to see perform at Supersonic 2011. You never know your dream just may come true – after all many of you asked for Corrupted in 2009 and Godflesh for 2010, and so they came!

    I think, given Supersonic’s notoriaty for putting its finger on the pulse and putting on the kinda of shit that no one else will, I think for 2011 it would be appropriate to get a few Witch House acts in. If I were to pick two, I’d say go for:

    Both are really good, and totaly fit in with that idea of underground production, utilising the internet to allow for a really small scale trans-national scene to spring up all over the place. Its super friendly.

    I think that will do for now, even if no one takes any notice of any of it I feel like I’ve done my part. The rest is up to you Supersonic people!

    For the ‘token’ jazz act, might I recommend Tony Bevan doing solo bass sax or Gebhard Ullmann and his mates. I’ll recommend the loudest shoegazer band in the world The Twilight Sad like I do every year. In a similiar vwein to one of my favorite 2010 performances (that being Nic Bullen’s ‘Breach’) i’d love to see more vocal manipulation like Trevor Wishart or Gerritt Wittmer & Paul Knowles. But I shant hold my breath for any of the above… ;p I’m sure i’ll be pleasantly surprised when the lineup is finally announced.
