MortonUnderwood’s Noise Boxes

...

Noise Box designed by Simon Fowler

To celebrate 10 years of Supersonic Festival, musical instrument designers MortonUnderwood have created ten unique noise box synths as a gift for Capsule. Each one is hand-painted by a talented designer in the Supersonic 2012 colours. The result is a beautiful set of bespoke synthesisers which capture both the visual and sonic aesthetic of the festival.

Warm welcome to David Hand – newly appointed festival designer

...

We recently advertised for a designer/illustrator to come on board and give Supersonic Festival a brand new look and feel for the event’s 10th anniversary. We were overwhelmed by the response; there were nearly 60 applicants, and some amazing talent out there. Thank you to all who applied.

We’re very pleased to appoint David Hand as the new festival designer. A prolific designer/illustrator, as well as the brains (and beautiful design) behind record label Lancashire and Somerset – who have released some brilliant records, all stunningly well packaged, by Enablers, Nathan Bell, Kogumaza and many more.

Hiya David…

“Hello, I am a graphic designer and sometime illustrator who resides in the Shropshire hills. I’m generally happiest when working on a music based brief, trying to convey sound into image. To work with the Capsule ladies on Supersonic is pretty great work indeed! Ever year they consistently deliver a damn fine line up and at volume, and this year’s is no exception.”
